Guest Appearances In Twenty20

The man who not wears pinks but looks pretty in doing so, Dan Vettori (what's the story?) flies in to make a one-off guest appearance for Qld in their Big Bash against the NSW Blues (see the article link below)

... and Chris Gayle is up to the same trick for the Warriors.

What do we think of this trend of paying big bucks for the stars in their occasional outing for domestic sides?

  1. Bring it on! In fact, lets make a TV show out of it: Playing Hit-and-giggle With The Stars! There's no point in doing things by halves...

  2. I would ask the 12th & 13th men! The argument will be that it is drawing crowds therefore is commercially wise. I think 20/20 is not helping cricket long term and will become just another product in time. The market people will then come up with a hybrid game to take its place. Perhaps a bowling machine dressed like DK Lillee or Thommo that throws down six different deliveries per over. Think about it............no more injuries to fast bowlers, no balls gone forever. All you will need is 120 balls for each team.

Got to go now I'm off to register the idea...........120/120........sounds good.
