  2. I am so incredibly proud of you. I am also speechless to think that my brother in law has achieved such an honour. Well done Pete. I am so very happy for you.
Can you please forward me the poem, so that I can read it again. I have read it 2-3 times when I have read your book of poems and it read very well then. I would love to read it again today.

WOW is all I can say.

  5. Congratulations on a wonderful achievement (and poem).

While re-reading the poem in the sidebar, I watched your slot on Prime News. Good to see you and Pa perched in the prime commentary position!

Congratulations Peter!!!You have every right to be proud of your effort in getting your book into the hands of the Sydney Cricket ground exhibition. What a thrill it must have been for you and the family as they have been right behind you with your writing and interest in cricket. Good on you Peter.

  8. I have been away, was also able to sneak a few looks at the test yeah!
Mate gotta say Dougie was one of my heroes too, he has signed the inside of my 'Tahs' batting cap.
I still recount his 100 in a session at the WACA.
Would love a copy of the poem at some stage.
    Congratulations on your poem.

  9. Well done. Will your hats still fit now? I can see a photo opportunity; you, the poem, the hat and Doug with beer and ciggie props.

  12. Hey Peter!

Just listened to your interview and read your poem again, and while I still can't claim to understand cricket, much less sit through a test, it was great to hear you share about it. Made me feel like I was almost there with you as you described some of the emotions you went through being there!

    Great job mate!!!

  14. Hey Lango, keep up the great work. Just wanted to write a message to reassure you that avid readers usually do so silently. I now live in Peru so your stories are my portal to cricket news. Yes, a quick headline suffices to keep me informed of the crude figures and stats, but if I want an informed critique of the finer details of this unique game, the crickettragics in my inbox is my first port of call.
    Cheers mate
